Jay Horita, Habitat Restoration Project Manager
Jay joined the Habitat Restoration team as a Project Manager in 2024. After many years with the federal land management agencies, Jay began looking for a different approach to environmental work. He joined CREST because of its forward-thinking crew and its ability to get complex projects across the finish line.
The Pacific Northwest has been his training ground and home since his first day working in the woods in 2013. Jay brings years of land management experience with the Forest Service, along with a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies at Lewis & Clark College. He's excited to bring together many folks of various backgrounds to collaborate on restoration work.
Personal ProfileOn a rare sunny day, Jay will be out catching waves on the beautiful Oregon coast. If it's rainy? Well, he'll still be out there too. When the sun goes down, he loves to dilly dally in Portland and enjoy life's simple pleasures with friends and family.
