Deep/Widgeon Restoration Project
The Deep/Widgeon restoration project reconnected 71 acres of tidal emergent wetlands back to Cunningham Slough and the Lower Columbia River. Completed in summer 2014, the project has restored tidal processes, expanded fish access, and increased wetland plant diversity.
A large water control structure was removed and strategic marshplain lowering was completed for the benefit of native emergent vegetation.
