Zach Bigelow, Habitat Restoration Project Manager
Zach joined CREST in 2024 as a Habitat Restoration Project Manager, bringing with him a decade of experience leading habitat restoration crews for the National Park Service. His experience working in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest have imbued him with a deep and enduring respect for the abundant waters of the region, and Zach is excited to be working in the tidal landscapes that bring such fecundity to the communities that rely on them. In particular, Zach is excited to connect the restoration work CREST does with local communities, provide opportunities for community engagement, and foster personal connections between people and the beautiful places they live in.
Personal ProfileNew to Oregon, Zach is starting to put some roots down on the coast. Having lived and worked in WA, AK, NM, HI, islands in the North Pacific, Ethiopia, and Belize, he's excited to be in one place for a while. You can find him surfing, tending to his growing collection of houseplants, baking, searching for a cozy nook to inhabit for a while, plucking a catchy tune on the banjo, staring at a bug, or simply basking in the glory of it all.
