We're marking this milestone with a special behind-the-scenes Project Tour of South Tongue Point, one of our exciting restoration sites!
Bring your family, your curiosity, and your walking shoes — this is a family-friendly, boots-on-the-ground kind of celebration. Together, we'll explore the restoration area and learn how native habitats are being brought back to life. You’ll even get to roll up your sleeves and scatter native plant seeds, helping to grow the future of this amazing site!
🌱 What to Expect:
👟 Up to a mile of walking on uneven ground
🌾 Ankle- to calf-high vegetation (may be wet!)
🌧️ Possibly wet shoes and pant legs — dress accordingly!
🌿 A hands-on, meaningful experience with local impact

The Columbia River Estuary Study Taskforce (CREST) is turning 50, and we’re inviting the community to help us celebrate this major milestone.
What to Expect:
🗺️ A presentation on CREST’s history and the impact of our restoration work over five decades
🚁 Show & Tell stations with drones, a hydrone, project maps, and videos from the field
🎨 Hands-on activities for kids and interactive exhibits for all ages
🍽️ Free food and drinks for attendees
👨👩👧👦 A family-friendly atmosphere that’s welcoming to all
Whether you’ve worked alongside us, supported estuary conservation, or are just curious about what we do, we’d love to have you there!
